You’re Valuable

For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live] (Ephesians 2:10 AMPC).

If you sometimes wish you were someone else just because you think you’re not good enough, you should quit thinking that way. Thinking like that only burdens you and keeps you from manifesting the joy and wonderful virtues wrapped up in your God-given personality.

Your heavenly Father wants you to value yourself for who you are. He values you highly and is happy about you. But He needs you to be happy about yourself as well.

This is so important because you can only love and appreciate others as much as you do yourself. You can’t treat others right if you’re not happy with who you are.

When you think of the great sacrifice God had to make for you to be saved, you will begin to realise how valuable you are to Him. The worth or value of an item is the price paid for it, which means your value is the life of the Son of God.

So you ought to be excited about yourself, knowing that you’re as valuable to God as Christ is. Quit trying to be someone else. Be yourself!

Be the best of you for God. Refuse to talk yourself down or let anyone look down on you. You’re the best of you that God made. According to our opening verse of Scripture, you’ve been called to live “…the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]” (Ephesians 2:10 AMPC). It’s up to you!
