You Are Not A Blasphemer

Say you of him, whom the Father has sanctified, and sent into the world, you blasphem: because I said, I am the Son of God (John 10:36-37).

There was a time when Jesus before the Jews, made a sovereign declaration about Himself. He said, “…I and my Father are one” (John 10:29-30). The Bible says that then they took up stones to stone Him. Interestingly, they confessed that they weren’t to stone Him for any good works, but for blasphemy: “…and because that you, being a man, you make yourself God” (John 10:33).

It’s so surprising that the Jews saw Jesus as a man, and never comprehended Him as God in the flesh; the truth revealed. This still is the case even now in the world. When we explain the realities of the kingdom and declare what we are, our country of origin and what belongs to us in Christ, many think we are boasting. Some have even called it blasphemy. That’s ignorance gone on rampage!

But Jesus says, no one has the authority to say to the one whom the Father has sanctified, and sent into the world that he blasphemes yet he is declaring what and who he is.

You are born again, and have received the Holy Spirit in you. You are the new creation in Christ Jesus. When you speak forth who you are, you’re not blaspheming but are simply talking reality.

You are a child of God and have His life and nature in you. This is why you must be bold to say that, “I and my Father are one!” And God has entrusted and committed to us this message. In fact, we are the message!

Be bold to continually declare who you are in Christ Jesus. You are not a blasphemer but are talking the truth. There are those that will get mad at you, but that’s not new. It happened to Jesus (John 5:16-18), but He overcame them. Blessed be God!
