The Blessing Of Thanksgiving

…And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank you that you have heard me (John 11:41).

After Jesus had said those words, He cried out with a loud voice saying, Lazarus, come forth. And Lazarus came out of his tomb! It’s so amazing that at such a time, Jesus shows the solution to be in thanksgiving.

How much more must we be grateful to God?

Thanksgiving is the language of faith. Not that you should give thanks to God for your problems but thank Him because He’s the answer. Even with the little that you have now, thank God.

Jesus thanked the Father for the five barley loaves and two small fish and they were multiplied to feed more than 5000 people with baskets full of leftovers (John 6:8-13). And when the Holy Spirit talked about that event, He mentioned, “…the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks” (John 6:23).

The Holy Spirit was more pleased with the act of giving thanks than the miracle.

The more you thank God, the more you please Him, and whatever little you have will be multiplied! But it takes an attitude of worship! Blessed be God!
