Sanctification Of The Holy Spirit

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters (Genesis 1:1-2).

Scriptures clearly show to us that God created the whole world by the Holy Spirit. The Bible in Job 26:12-13 confirms this when it says, “He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud. By his Spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.”

We’ve often had a misconception of who the Holy Spirit really is, but you can’t know the Holy Spirit until you open yourself up to Him. He’s a person and if you relate with Him as such, He’ll teach you God’s Word, reveal beautiful things to you from the Word and empower you.

Jesus said, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). You become a witness when you receive the Holy Spirit.

A witness is a proof producer; you produce proof of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the reality of the Kingdom of God. It’s the Holy Spirit that enables you to do that. When you have the Holy Spirit, you become a totally different person.

You can’t do anything for God without the Holy Spirit. Whatever you do, if it’s not sanctified by the Holy Spirit, it’s not acceptable to God. Even Jesus could not offer Himself to God without spot all by Himself; He had to do it through the Holy Spirit (Hebrews 9:14).

When you offer anything to God, it’s got to be through the Holy Spirit; He sanctifies it and only then can it be acceptable to God (Romans 15:16). Hallelujah
