Respect The Anointing@@Respect The Anointing@@Respect The Anointing@@Respect The Anointing
And he said unto his men, The Lord forbid that i should do this thing unto my master, the LORD’S anointed,to stretch forth my hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the Lord (1 Samuel 24:6).
David was a man who understood the anointing, and also had respect for the anointed. When Saul sought for him to kill him, David eventually ended up having the opportunity to kill him. But he refrained. David recognised the anointing of God upon the life of Saul and had respect unto it.
Later, David’s respect for the anointing was demonstrated when he ordered the death of the Amelekite who confessed to have killed Saul. He said to the man, “…Your blood be upon your head; for your mouth has testified against you, saying, I have slain the LORD’S anointed” (2 Samuel 1:16).
By doing so, he proved himself worthy of the anointing. God later testified of him saying, “I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him” (Psalms 89:20).
Child of God, understand that what you respect, you attract. If you want to walk in the anointing of Gods Spirit, you must have respect for the anointing. Honor and respect God’s anointed ones. Refrain from speaking evil of them; that way, you’re being promoted.
Touch not the anointed ones, and do His prophets no harm (Psalms 105:15); for He is able to make them stand (Romans 14:4). Blessed be God!
