In Christ
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
The Bible doesn’t say; he will become a New Creation or when he fasts and prays a lot, he’ll become a New Creation. No! It says, “He is a New Creation.” It’s a statement of fact, and a present reality; it’s a spiritual law.
If Jesus died for all, then, everybody died; therefore, all believers have died with Christ and no longer live for themselves (2 Corinthians 5:14-16).
Now, if Jesus was raised from the dead, then we have come back alive, with a new life, because He died in our place. Our lives are now spiritual and not worldly (fleshly). So, our death is that of the old nature which was nailed to the cross with Christ. It was buried with Him, and just as He was raised up by the glory of the Father-the Holy Spirit, so are we raised up to walk in the newness of life (Romans 6:4).
The new person is the New Creation, created by God (John 1:13). Everyone who has accepted Jesus as Lord has a new life; the God-kind of life. This is the reason why you ought to see every Christian according to the spirit and not the flesh (2 Corinthians 5:16), for their old nature was crucified with Christ.
Stop seeing yourself and others according to the flesh! Child of God, you’re no longer a Muganda, a Munyoro, a liar, a fornicator or a murderer. You’re a New Creation in Christ; that’s who you really are. Blessed be God!
