He’s Your Indwelling Father

…I am in the father and the father is in me (John 14:11).

What a wonderful and glorious experience we have! What an awesome parentage! Oh, like Jesus, it’s not an abomination for you to say it. God is your Father, and as Jesus was a child of the Holy Spirit, you too are now His child.

The Holy Spirit is our Indwelling Father. That’s the divine secret of a real Christian life; it’s the union between man and God.

Jesus said, “…the Father that dwells in me, He does the works” (John 14:10). Which father?; God was in heaven but His Spirit dwelt in Jesus, and He was conscious of it. The Holy Spirit is the Father of Jesus (Matthew 1:18).

The Spirit is the Spirit of the Father; He proceeds from the Father (John 15:26). And now He is in us, and He is the doer of the works of God. See why you can’t be defeated. God functions through you.

We are no longer orphans (John 14:18) because we have the father in us. We carry the presence of the Lord in us in the person of the Holy Spirit. I am talking about God in us (1 Corinthians 6:19) not just Emmanuel-God in us (Matthew 1:23). Now we are the temple of the Holy Spirit for He resides in our spirits.

The church needs to grow in these truths and be established in them. When this reality dawns into your spirit, it will be the end of failure, defeat, limitation, confusion and weakness. You will begin to enjoy a glorious and continuous stream of success and victory.
