He Hides Himself To Be Sought After

Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour (Isaiah 45:15).

Proverbs 25:2 reveals to us that it is God’s glory to conceal a matter. No wonder, Matthew 6:6 describes Him as the Father who is in secret.

We therefore understand that He’s a God that reveals deep and secret things (Daniel 2:22) the Bible says that He reveals deep and secret things. Why does He hide Himself? Why is He in secret?

Jesus said, “…seek and you shall find…” (Matthew 7:7). And, “That they should SEEK the Lord, if haply they might FEEL after him, and FIND him, though he be not far from every one of us” (Acts 17:27).

This explains why God conceals things and hides Himself: to reveal the heart of the man. Because His ultimate desire is that as man seeks Him, he finds what he feels after. It’s a purely and solely heart issue.

Can your heart answer why you are desiring the things you are so passionate about?
Why are you praying for the things you’re praying for? What’s your motive and what is driving it?

These are questions that relate to divine purpose, plans and pursuits.
