Be Love Compelled Compelled
This hope does not disappoint us, for God has poured out his love into our hearts by means of the Holy Spirit, who is God’s gift to us (Romans 5:5 GNB).
You have a responsibility as God’s child to accept everyone in love, regardless of their origin, gender, race, or status. You shouldn’t focus on people’s mistakes or shortcomings. Instead, focus on their good sides.
The love of God in your heart should always be the compelling force in all you do. 1 John 4:8 says, “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”
Allow God’s Word to compel you to take the right and necessary steps; let it convince you to carry out acts of love.
When we sing that, “I’m not moved by what I see; I’m only moved by the Word of God.” To be moved by the Word is to be compelled by His love. Love was the tremendous motivational force behind Apostle Paul’s overwhelming passion for the Gospel; God’s love for people made him preach the Gospel in his day.
Even though he suffered many things at the hands of some people, it didn’t stop him from preaching the Gospel to them in love.
Don’t be driven by circumstances or motivated by your personal desires; only be compelled by God’s love. Think and do things the love-way, which is the Word-way.
Remember, the Lord rewards you for that which His love compels you to do. Don’t be so quick to judge others or point out their mistakes. Keep this scripture in mind today: “God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again” (John 3:17 MSG).
Are you compelled by the love of Christ?
