Be Excellent

Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven (Matthew 5:16 AMP).

Oh how the Lord Jesus instructs that you let your light shine so that men may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

The word Good in the scripture refers to something precious, commendable and admirable—something excellent in its nature and characteristics.

This means that when you commit to always executing anything assigned to you with excellence, your light will shine so brightly before other people that they’ll see your good works. Your good works will speak for you, and those people won’t be able to ignore you.

God’s desire is that His children take charge of the affairs of the world and execute them excellently. Does that describe you? It’s time you made the conscious choice to be the best at what you do.

Proverbs 22:29: “Do you see a man diligent and skillful in his business? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.”

When you have an excellent mind and do excellent things, it doesn’t matter whether or not someone notices; just make the right choice for excellence and run with it.
