Refuse To Be Selfish
I rejoice at your word, as one that finds great spoil (Psalms 119:162).
The greatest treasure I have fellowshipped with and drunk from is the Word. Studying and meditating on Gods Word is one thing that just beautifies your life from within and makes you a star. It’s true, the Word of God has inherent ability to make you what it talks about.
As I have always studied and meditated on the realities contained in the Word, I have found myself being led to reach out to many as I declare to them the glories of the Kingdom.
I haven’t restrained myself nor hesitated to follow the leading of the Spirit as I function in the anointing upon my life.
Like David, I can gladly say, “I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, you know. I have not hid your righteousness within my heart; I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation: I have not concealed your lovoingkindness and your truth from the great congregation” (Psalms 40:9).
What David meant is that, Lord, I haven’t been selfish concerning making you known among many. I haven’t worried about what people might think; whether they praise me or condemn me as I declare your righteousness. David was talking about how he had walked in love; he wasn’t selfish.
Am glad I haven’t been selfish. Am running the race and I know what I have got to accomplish. I don’t mind what people think or say concerning what I preach. I know am mandated to preach and declare Gods righteousness, to establish His Kingdom and bring into the kingdom many heirs, even unto glory. For this cause I was born, and for this reason I have been anointed.
Child of God, What’s your measure of love for the Word? How passionate are you towards making the glories of the kingdom known? Don’t be selfish; preach the gospel!
