Don't Worry, He Careth For You
Casting your cares upon him; for he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
Why is it that so many Christians are caring and worried about lots of things yet they are supposed to cast their cares onto the Lord? Why are you, together with God, caring about the same thing? God is saying, cast your cares on Him for He cares for You. Your worries aren’t justified!
The Bible says, “Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God” (Philippians 4:6). I like verse 7 of the same: “And the peace of God…shall keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.“
It’s possible to live and enjoy the peace of God when you cast your cares on Him. To be worried means that you are taking sides against God.
True, there could be times when things are hard; but the Bible says, “…count it all joy when you go through divers tests” (James 1:2). So, when you count it all joy at such times, then you begin to enjoy all the benefits of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ in your life.
When you submit your mind to the Word, it becomes so natural for you as a child of God to function that way. You have been fashioned to live that way; God couldn’t tell you to do something that’s hard! You can do the Word because the Word itself is your life. I refuse to worry! Glory.
Now I understand how David came to the level of saying, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall i fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall i be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). There is a depth in God where you fear no evil, and what man can do to you!
Today, take a conscious choice to continually study and meditate on Gods Word. It’s the only building material that has been granted us. The Word will make you what it talks about. In other words, the Word has inherent ability to fashion you to a level where you don’t worry about anything. Glory to God!
