Walking in the resurrection power

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin (Romans 6:6).

 

As you read Romans 6:4, you notice that our spirits have already died with Christ unto sin and are already resurrected unto newness of life. Yet, this new life doesn’t automatically manifest itself in the flesh. The opening Scripture therefore brings up a new thought that one has got to know some things before the resurrection life flows from the spirit into the flesh. 

 

Now that you are Born Again, you’re not what you used to be. That old nature that came from your mothers womb died. When the life of God came into your spirit, the old life ceased to be. You’re now a New Creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). 

 

John 1:12-13 records that “…as many as received him, to them gave he power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. Which were born, not of blood…” Before, you were born of blood because you had the life from your mother: “For the life of the flesh is in the blood…” 

 

But now, the Holy Spirit has baptized you into Christ; into reality and now dwells in you. He’s now the source of life to your flesh (Romans 8:10-11). If you wake up to this reality, you don’t need to pray about your health! You will find yourself living in divine health. And prayer shall become more meaningful to you because it will become a ministry in your life!

 

Walking in the resurrection power is dependent on knowing that the old life is crucified. If you don’t believe it, then there won’t be a newness manifested. 

 

When you meditate on the truths about our resurrection life, then it will become reality in your daily walk. That’s why Paul couldn’t be beaten  by a beast (Acts 28); he just shook it off into the fire and continued preaching! All Christians have been ordained that way but you need the revelation knowledge of that reality to walk in it, because “…through knowledge, the just-the righteous shall be delivered into their inheritance (Proverbs 11:9).
