Possessors, Not Believers
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVES in him should not perish, but HAVE everlasting life (John 3:16).
In the mind of God, the Christian is not a believer, but a Haver! You move from believing to having; you become a possessor. The believing gave you something; it was actually a means to an end. So, when you believed, you were transported into possession. Now you are actually a possessor and not a believer.
Today, many Christian are still believing God for things yet they already arrived in their place of inheritance. They arrived into Christ, who is all and in all (Colossians 3:11). We have entered into His rest, and have ceased from believing.
The Bible says, “…we have obtained an inheritance” (Ephesians 1:11), and have been qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:12).
Joshua 18:1-3 is a picture of what so many Christians have done concerning their inheritance/possession: “And the land was subdued before them. And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet RECEIVED their inheritance. And Joshua said to them, How long are you slack to go to possess the land, which the Lord God of your fathers HAS given you.”
Notice, they had been given, but had not received; there land had been conquered but there remained seven tribes that hadnt taken their inheritance. Many Christians have left their inheritance on the table when God wants us to take everything that is ours.
You have arrived in a place of abundance, and all things are yours now (1 Corinthians 3:22) in Christ. Stop believing God for your health, victory, success, etc. It’s already yours in Christ Jesus. The problem isn’t that God hasn’t given; No. The problem is that you haven’t received; you haven’t possessed that which is yours by faith. All you need is to possess your possessions (Obadiah 1:17).
You may not feel it or even see it with your optical eyes, but you are already a possessor. In the realm of the spirit, you are a possessor not a believer. Stop wasting time!
