It Is Solitude

Of Solitude- Aloneness

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for HE that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6).

In our theme scripture, God reveals a truth that relates to the importance of understanding the value of personal relationship with Him.

The Bible says, “…he that comes to God must believe that He is.” The call is personal, and this is a pattern expressed to us in the Scriptures. For example, When the high priest had to make atonement for the sins of the children of Israel, he went to the Holy of Holies alone (Hebrews 9:7). Abraham was called alone (Isaiah 51:2). Jacob wrestled with an angel of God when he was left alone (Genesis 32:24).

In further revealing the intent of solitude to us, Jesus expressly said, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20). Be ye separate, child of God. Be ye isolated from the crowd.

It’s in solitude that true communion and intimacy with God is defined. Practice being alone with God, then your faith and revelation of the Christ shall become personal. Hallelujah!
